Help Us Help Others: Donate Today for a Brighter Tomorrow
We have done so much, but there is much more to do! Amidst the war and challenging circumstances, your support ensures the survival of Ukrainian bubbes, zaydes, and youth, bringing warmth, comfort, and, most importantly, hope.
Action-PSJ continuously updates the supply wish list as requests from Ukraine come in. The situation on the ground is very fluid and changes frequently. We are currently concerned with items to help aging adults weather the blackouts and lack of expected heat this winter.
Please donate to Action-PSJ’s Ukraine Emergency Fund or buy items directly from our Amazon Wish list.

Your Retirement, Their Future: Account Gifts
1
If you are 72 or older, you are required to withdraw funds from your retirement accounts. But, what if you don’t need those funds?
If these funds are not necessary for you and you prefer to avoid reporting the income while contributing to your community, a meaningful option is available.
You can instruct your IRA account custodian to contribute up to $100,000 to Action-P SJ as a “Qualified Charitable Contribution.” This direct contribution supports Action’s essential work and won’t be counted as taxable income for you.
By gifting securities, you can simultaneously support Action-PSJ and reap personal benefits. These gifts are tax-deductible at the full market value on the transfer date to Action-PSJ, potentially resulting in income tax and capital gains tax savings on the appreciated value. Begin the process by downloading our stock donation form.

When revisiting your estate plans, contemplate allocating some of your retirement assets to benefit Action-P SJ and other charitable organizations.
If you possess traditional qualified IRAs, 401(k)s, or other deferred income retirement assets, your heirs must settle income taxes upon inheriting those funds. It’s prudent to consult your advisors about potentially designating Action for Post-Soviet Jewry as a beneficiary for a portion of your retirement funds, offering your heirs alternative, non-taxable resources.
Should you opt to name Action-PSJ as a qualified retirement plan beneficiary, like an IRA, 401(k), or 403(b), kindly contact your retirement plan administrator and fill out the relevant beneficiary designation form. Notably, as a charitable organization, Action for Post-Soviet Jewry is exempt from taxes on tax-deferred retirement funds.
All your assets would be dedicated to supporting the people and causes that matter most to you.
