Dear,
I hope during Purim, you added a little joy to these difficult days. I have several updates for you.
I am sorry to share this sad and very bittersweet news with you all. Ella Gonchorova’s mother passed away in Israel on Sunday. Ella planned to spend a few days with her mother before joining our mission. She will make it to Israel in time for part of the Shiva.
Because a food tray could not be sent, Ella is still determining what will be needed or what she can do regarding the Shiva in Israel. I sent Ella money on behalf of the board.
As a reminder, I leave on Sunday, March 31st, and return on Tuesday, April 9th.

We continue to hold steady with fundraising and are on the trajectory of raising $300,000.00 by the end of the fiscal year. I will be sending out a Passover appeal by USPS mail and email.
Tuesday night, I attended and gave a very short presentation about Action-PSJ at the CJP Hineni event, “ When Hineni Met Sally,” and board member Asya Bashina also attended. The Hineni program has helped Action-PSJ access amazing Board members and other volunteers.
We continue to get interest from the next generation –many of whom are Russian speakers– who want to help in some way. With all there is to do, it would be great to brainstorm how to bring this cohort together and engage them in meaningful work.
Please let me know if you want to participate in the budget or strategic planning working groups by emailing me by Monday.
