Friends,
I’m writing to let you know about significant rocket attacks in two of our communities, Dnipro and Uman.
The news from our Director and Coordinator is that while all the people we care for are safe, everyone is very shaken and sad. The current information is that between the two communities 16 people have died of which five are children.
In Uman a large residential building was hit. In Dnipro at least five explosions were heard throughout the night.
We stand in full support of our communities throughout Ukraine and in this moment our hearts are with Uman and Dnipro.
Last night was an uncertain and scary night for all of Ukraine.
As we continue to understand what is needed I will also write about how much our support makes an impact and a few new projects we are working on.
I am writing this brief update as I make my way back to Boston after spending time in Israel with #CJPSPARK. I will write more about that experience next week. Know I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to explore the full diversity of Israel and celebrate it’s 75 years with 300 leaders, colleagues and young adults from greater Boston.
Sending wishes for a peaceful and safe Shabbat.
Debbie
