Hands, Heart, and Mind: Marlene and David Bohn\u2019s Relentless Commitment to Ukraine<\/strong><\/p>\n

I first met Marlene Bohn in November 2019 when we traveled together to Ukraine. At the time, we had no idea it would be our last visit for years\u2014first due to COVID, and then because of war. We had no idea how the future would unfold or how involved Marlene would become in our work.  Marlene is more than a volunteer, more than a benefactor\u2014she is a leader, a model of what it <\/p>\n

means to take action with both determination and heart. When the war broke out, she called immediately, asking, \u201cWhat can I do?\u201d<\/em> And she hasn\u2019t stopped since.<\/p>\n

Her husband, David, became her partner in this mission, and they have mobilized extraordinary support. Between them, they have collected, packed, and shipped an astonishing 360 boxes of aid\u2014approximately 7 tons<\/strong>\u2014to those in desperate need. From medical supplies to backpacks, heat packs to food, they have answered the call to every emergency and urgent need.<\/p>\n

What makes Marlene and David remarkable is not just the scale of their generosity but also the way they do it. They are hands-on, heart-driven, and deeply thoughtful in their approach. They don\u2019t just respond\u2014they assess, organize, and act with precision<\/strong> and care<\/strong>. Every shipment is carefully considered, and every donation is gathered with a purpose. They don\u2019t work alone but engage their friends, their communities, and anyone willing to help, creating a ripple effect of generosity.<\/p>\n

When Marlene and David say they\u2019ll help, they don\u2019t just send thoughts and prayers\u2014they send crates of medical supplies, warm coats, and food for those who have none. Their kindness knows no bounds.<\/em><\/p>\n

Their work is not just about sending aid\u2014it\u2019s about building bridges<\/strong>. By bringing people together here, they are saving lives there. Their inclusive spirit fosters community, turning compassion into action in ways that truly matter.<\/p>\n

Marlene and David are living proof that individuals can make an extraordinary difference.<\/p>\n
