Our Dnipro Partnership<\/span><\/h3>

This week, I had the profound honor of meeting in person with Zelig Brez, Executive Director of the Jewish Community of Dnipro. Zelig traveled to Boston from Dnipro, marking only the second time since the war began that we\u2019ve had the privilege of seeing each other face to face.

Zelig is more than a colleague\u2014he\u2019s a steadfast partner on the ground. Zelig updated us about the situation in Ukraine and specifically in Dnipro. As we know, the missile attacks have increased. There are more use of drones from the aggressor, children are getting “used” to having classes in bomb shelters, elderly are afraid to leave their homes, and yet Jewish life is thriving. Our work and support to provide heat, food, basic needs and medical care continues to be essential- especially as this aid is decreasing from other sources.\u00a0<\/p>

Zelig championed our partnership with the Jewish Medical Center, to provide groundbreaking telehealth services for over 200 elderly individuals across 12 communities.

Your support made the telehealth initiative\u00a0 possible,. One elderly woman shared how this service allowed her to manage her health from home when she had nowhere else to turn, saying, \u201cI feel like someone is looking out for me.\u201d

\u00a0Zelig\u2019s work on the ground is vital, and it\u2019s your generosity that sustains these efforts and changes lives.
