Two-years of war:<\/strong><\/p>

As we approach the two-year anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine, I find myself once again reaching out to our colleagues in the region to ensure their safety. Unfortunately, Dnipro, where our on-site partner organization is based, has again experienced the horrors of conflict, with a recent missile attack claiming the lives of at least 10 individuals and leaving many more missing. Thankfully, our partners in Dnipro remain physically unharmed.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

I invite you to read more about <\/a>our recent partnership with the Jewish Medical Center of Dnipro to provide telehealth services for Ukraine’s vulnerable aging population in a piece published on Jewish Boston. I am thankful for the support of CJP and other partners whose philanthropy powers this work.\u00a0 I am grateful to each of you. Your ongoing support enables us to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by conflict and hardship.<\/p>

Despite the challenges, I continue to be inspired by the resilience and determination of the Ukrainian people, particularly our elders, who remain steadfast in the face of adversity. Your support has been instrumental in providing them with much-needed assistance, whether it’s through stipends, food packages, cold weather essentials, or telehealth services. The impact of your generosity extends far beyond meeting basic needs; it brings joy, hope, and a sense of care that is deeply appreciated by those we serve.<\/p>

In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing stories directly from our partners on the ground and the elders who benefit from our programs. As I reflect on my fourth year as Executive Director and our organization’s upcoming 50th anniversary, I am reminded of the profound impact we’ve had on improving the health and quality of life for countless individuals, thanks to your continued support.<\/p>

I’m also grateful for the collaboration and solidarity we’ve received from our team, board members, and the wider Jewish and secular communities, both in Boston and beyond.<\/p>
